At WVPA, we rely on our members’ strength to drive pharmaceutical progress. We actively engage in legislative issues, modernizing the Pharmacy Practice Act and representing pharmacies before state agencies. We encourage pharmacists to connect with legislators year-round, shaping the future of our profession.

Also, we provide expertise and medication therapy reviews to help you better manage your health.

Lucans’s Lions was founded by Pharmacist Chirag Patel after his son Lucan was diagnosed with Leukemia.  The organization also raises money to provide a comiprehensive gift basket for newly diagnosed children and their families to make their often lengthy initial hospital stays a bit easier.

The PPN started in March of 2009 and has generated more than 2,000+ episodes publishing 6 to 7 days per week with over 140K+ listeners per month. The PPN was the first podcast to release continuing education for pharmacists in 2019 and was voted ‘Healthcare Podcast of the Year’ in 2022 by the Healthcare and IT Marketing Community (HITMC).

Our courteous, uniformed service partners will maintain your custom-built, hand-made display in a clean and orderly condition, and will regularly service it with up to date brochures from local area attractions and places of interest to your guests.

Georgia’s newspapers published the notice at no charge and the railroads agreed to provide reduced rates from any point in the state to Macon for anyone who wished to attend the meeting. At least twenty pharmacists were present in Macon at Freeman’s Hall at eight o’clock on the evening of October 20, 1875. The meeting included brief presentations by a member of the State Board of Health and three physicians from the Macon Medical Society, all of whom assured cooperation and support from their organizations.

The purpose of the Association is to assure the viability and vitality of the profession of pharmacy by advocating for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in legislative, regulatory and public affairs. The focus of advocacy shall be to maximize contributions of the profession to public health, and patient care and to increase public awareness of the value of pharmacy services.
